We wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again and recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone seeking renovation work in Edinburgh. || Rollo were one of the Contractors involved in the complete refurbishment of my New Town home. As home owner and a project manager myself, I acted as the General Contractor, managing most materials procurement and interfaces between several specialist contractors. Rollo were responsible for approx. 25% of the total refurbishment. Long story short – Rollo are a great company to work with, their project manager communicates very well; their site supervisor Lewis was/is a star. Nothing my wife or I asked for was ever too much, Rollo were always willing and dependable to step in and help with any aspects of this refurbishment project. We had some specialist joinery work, aiming to mimic the original, intricate design from an ornate connecting door upstairs, this was executed by Rollo’s in-house joinery firm Timbex. I was blown away by the quality and intricate detail of this finished product – a real highlight. The site supervisor, the project manager and Barry (Sean’s dad) completed several detailed snagging surveys, completing all issues before anything was presented to me as ‘finished’. There was one item were re-work was required and Rollo managed that very well, no quibbles, simply resolved. 🙂 The only tricky areas were: (a) estimating and getting to the final contract, where there was poor attention to detail and (b) some sub-contractors proposed by Rollo, that I decided not to use and to hence I managed these scopes of work myself. Super happy with the final outcome.
