In fact, this job was to repair – essentially reconstruct – after a terrible botch patio door installation last year, but additionally involved a new patio and path as well as the total refurbishment of the lounge. The firm is versatile and incredibly helpful going out of their way to assist on the small details as well as the large. Stuart and his team are real professionals. || I had a timber framed garden annexe constructed by SGH, the groundwork for which was prepared by sister company BGH. The works by both firms were done promptly and with minimum disruption to the surrounding garden. During the building work I made several changes to the original plans which were seamlessly incorporated. Minor faults were dealt with professionally and without undue delay. I had intended to do a proportion of the build myself but, at the completion of each stage, it was an easy decision to ask Stuart to continue until the build was complete. Stuart made sure that Dundee Building Control was provided with relevant photographs of the build as it progressed and incorporated their requests without fuss. I have no hesitation in recommending SGH to anyone looking for a reliable and professional contractor. || Stuart restored my faith in builders. We were let down by another contractor leaving the property requiring remedial work before restarting the extension. From the start, Stuart was great with communication and fully open on how to progress with each stage. Due to the previous contractor there were a few surprises along the but Stuart was able to work efficiently with our architect to resolve these. Stuart’s team were pleasant to be around and finished the job to a high standard, which Stuart himself verified at each stage. I highly recommend Stuart
